hello people i'm back from yunnan! :)

The highlights of the trip would be the school visits, esp the one to Ci Jiu Secondary, the poorer rural school. During the two days we've been there, we sang, cheered, danced and played with them. Prior to the visit, everyone was stressed, all so worried that everything would not turn out as according to our plan, and we'll disappoint the teachers again, that we'll screw it up like how we did at the urban school. But at last, everything was good, we've left a impact on the students there, as what the teachers have said, and yes, they too, created a significant impact on us as well.
Despite their situation they're in, even when they've got little money to themselves, they still brought us gifts. And extra food were cooked especially for us. They were so cooperative during the games, making us feel like family. And they're so much strong than us. Living in a place where 24 ppl slept in a room, where the toliet had no doors and just a hole in the ground, they did not complain a single bit. They're so much more contented with life than us, and so much happier. They held on to our hands like brothers and sisters, even though we've just known them for hours.
When we were leaving them on the second day of the visit, the whole scene was so heartening. Everyone was crying, the china students and us. They were crying out to us, telling us they'll remember us, telling us not to go. Everyone was just so touched that we couldn't control our tears. As Mr Leow said, we've left our hearts with them.

We went up Shang-ri-la. It was the highest point that we've been in the trip. There, we visited the Potaso Park, and everyone got high-altitude sickness, Vomiting and Headache. And i had the chance to see the starry sky there, it was just beyond wonderful, it was more than a million stars up there.
We also went to Lijiang, and went for a shopping trip at the Lijiang Old Town. Joey, Eve and I got our worst experience, and we swear never to be late for anything. It was like hell. But, on a lighter note, we've seen concern from everyone, and the talk with the teachers was a good sharing session. And we've learned the art of bargaining. Thanks to some of the guys who brought the three of us the glass bangle!
The day we're coming back to singapore, we went to the flower market. Some of us shared a huge pink bag to put our things. And Woon Shin was so happy to carry the bag for us, he looked good with it too. :) haha! The flower market was filled with stalls with flowers of every kind, probably the market with the most flowers and coffee. Recieved flowers from Ivan, SongBoon, Siting, Syamil, and some of the guys and girls, thanks so much!

During one of the dinner, coincidentally there was a firework display! :) As for the meals, i think we had fried eggs and rice for everyone. The hotels we stayed in were good, only for one when the toliet bowl in my room, somehow had all the shit flushed up. It was like, omg. Mentioning hotelroom, i was really forunate to share a room with Sheena. :) We're terribly messy with it comes to packing.
Another learning point would be Emcee-ing. Joey and i had the honour of being the Emcee during one of the many bus trip. As expected, we screwed up for the first session. It was like, a cold atmosphere. The second session was slightly better, just slightly, still way away from average. Well, i guess we're just not cut out to be up on the stage, ra-ra-ing the crowd. And a very big thank you to Mr Leow and Mr Tan KG for their encouragement.

but anw, it's a relatively happy day.

impromptu meetup with weeling and howe yong in the afternoon, for a little while. :) great time, great ppl!

okay, maybe today isn't that great afterall.
But well, there are miracles still.


Vicky, i think i need more long long skirts. so prehaps we could go back to bugis and get some? :)
and i think i'm yearning for some heart-to-heart talk (damn, i'll be gone for a week)

the sleepover at vicky's house was great, though it's only the three of us. Her mum was so hospitable. And yeah, we bitched about vicky, together with her mum, for whole two hours. Poor her, haha! Had a long long chat with them, till 4am in the morning. It's been quite a long while since we've done this alr. :) and the next morning, we had breakfast throughout chinatown. ohmy, we spent like, 30bucks! allright, a little filling and expensive, but satisifying! :)

finally, we caught HSM3! yay, ohmy, it's a great movie. though the singing part was a little hilarious. But still, it's so romantic, and their dance.. ohmy, great movie! went to shop with vicky after that.
Btw, the day out was a total adventure, as usual. I was totally wet. HAHA.

went school for ecos remedial, not re-exam! the whole of my group thought i went for exam, thanks to joey. my paper is on next fri, hours before my flight. :) the lecture was killing me, three hours lecture, winnie law gave it a bad start alr. went for the yunnan meeting after that, hopefully, group one people will be more enthusiatic during the trip.

anw. had a small meetup yesterday, randomly. ana erin xh jm nic hw weeling aud. :) went far east to meet up with ana, jm and aud. ohyah, there's this manicure shop, on the fifth level, they do nails for only 10bucks! :) bitched and ate, for about three hours, then headed to jm's shop, for a feast! after the dinner, went holland's cold rock for dessert, another nice shop. they've this bubblegum, honeycomb and many unique ice-creams. :)

okay, today's not a good day. there's this bettle that visit my room everyday. and there's many bad news. and i'm feeling irritated.

can't wait for the sleepover at vicky's tml night.

OMG, VICKY IS A GENIUS AND I LOVE HER SO MUCH. YAY. :)

went for a job interview at the duck tours in the morning, before rushing to school, late, for training. training was pretty tough, to make up for all the lost sessions. did hundreds kicks. :) cool, can be considered as a workout in a way, esp for the legs.

i'm envying those who went for the Perth oelp, right now in Perth. how i wished i'm there too. the prefect weather and surroundings. :) argh, but i'm stuck here.
Perth geography fieldtrip, brings back so so much of the secondary school memories. secondary four. went Perth in June, months before O's! haha, but definitely a worthwhile trip, amoss memorable one, with 4b! :) aw, i'm starting to miss it. those beautiful scenaries, perfect place. and i miss 4b too. omg. our class, fights, quarrels, and everything, but still a fun class, and one of the best! i still remember the class dance we did on aces day, how hard we got the guys to dance finally.

and geography teacher, best you could never find elsewhere. Miss Chee! :) thanks so much for the things you've done for us all, though some, most goes unappreciated, you think. but i believe all of us, even the most unexpected ones, knows your efforts. and my A1 for geog, and our class B3 and above results, wouldn't have been achieved without you, seriously. all your seemingly endless scoldings and lectures and anger, thank you so much for not giving up on us. i still remember the smile on your face, when we got back our results. and i'm glad we played a part in putting on the smile. :) although you'll be leaving queenstown soon, for greater heights, but still, continue to touch more hearts! :) of cos, i'll be missing you, whenever i'm back in queenstown, to see you lecturing those juniors and sitting at the table of yours, always so occuiped. thank you, miss chee, once again! :) forever in your twenties?


okay, i'm looking forward to the yunnan trip. more to the part of getting out of this country. :) 21nov, one more week! :)

finally recovering from the sleep bug that's been bugging me.
went to meet audrey and ana, and caught the james bond movie. allright, not too bad a movie.
ana, madagascar, without audrey! they're crappers, totally. :)
anw went to grand's house all the way. manjong, eat. nice, i won three rounds of it.

oooh, anw, i'm promoted! :) though conditionally. but still, promoted. yay!

okay, i think i'll been feeling out of place this few days. like, staying home is a bad idea, but once i get out of my house, i feel like going back. omg, i'm getting so so fickle-minded this few days. seriously. and i'm thinking about certain issues quite a bit. like how, i think i'm more of a follower, and how that bothers me. and so much more things, that i can't say it out here. i'm getting socially inclined? haha, what a phrase. anw, yeah, i starting to get used to the insignificance, and whatever that comes, i'll take it, good or bad. i'm starting to have expectations, not too high ones. i'm not going to let my hopes high, only to crash down hard. reality's hard, but people will get used to it someday. okay, i'm drifting. and i'm starting to miss the new zealand times again, those times on the bus, driving on the seemingly endless road, with just beautiful sceneries to accompany me. ohmy, i wished we could live in those moments forever. this place is a concrete jungle, and i'm beginning to get sick of it. i'm looking forward to the yunnan trip, where i can finally get out of this county and get a change, even though it's a short short change. and yeah, i'm missing familythree too. no birthdays seems to be on the way. argh, those camp times. great days, memories. allright, a gathering is on it's way!

finally, i wished, we could graduate soon. and i believe, this thought will not last not. i'll be missing my college times soon enough. everything's nice, only for the academic part. i'm sick of words, even before i start revision for my reexam. omg, studies!

allright, this is like, a wishing-for-the-impossible post, and quite a pessimestic one. HAHA.

didn't attend training, had flu and bit of fever. all because of the vaccination jab. argh.
woke up at 9 for breakfst, went back to sleep at 11 till now. omg, slept thg half of my day!
anw. haha, what a short post!

went school for my OP today. okay. i think i did fine for the presentation, except that i couldn't quite coordinate. wasn't able to speak and go on with the slides effectively. but i guess it's okay overall. :) but things were not so great for the Q&A. the moment i speak, the teachers were like, huh, sorry, what did you said? too soft, speak louder. this is prehaps the only comment i got for every rehearsal. but whatever, omg, finally, PW'S OVER! :):):) YAY!!
okay, so i went for the leaders' meeting with joey and bernie, paid up for the yunnan trip, and waited for vicky. headed to island creamery for lunch. sat there for quite a while, talking about how things might not seem to be what they are, things happen for a reason, karma, and everything else. i was feeling pretty tired, so i'm the slient one today. for some reason, there're many things bugging me.

vicky, i wanted to tell you this, i wished you were by my side during my OP, so i can connect cables to you and you can be my loudspeaker! hahahaha! :)

okay, some updates. :):):)

fri, went back sch to help jam in the packing of goodies, tgt with vicky. packed 700 hundreds of bags in less than 3 hours. quite an accomplisement i must say. :) we literally filled up the room with goodies bags, leaving little gaps to walk. the space for walking was so tiny that vicky, being smaller than me, actually crashed upon the paper bags that we nicely laid out. crashed, and not fall. HAHA OMG TOTALLY FUNNY. and she couldn't and wouldn't get up, and just sat on the bags, laughing. HAHA! but poor her, she has got many scratches all over.
anw after that viicky and i headed to queensway. she collected her cool jackets for her team, and we had delicious spoon laksa. :)
and i met up with the girls in the evening. fisherman's whaft, :) haven seen them in a million years alr, except for audrey. haha! had a fun time catching up with them. we parted after dinner. audrey, pei sze and i were walking to the bus stop, when some random suggestions to walk to city hall came up. so we walked there, had talked pretty much. it's just letting everything flow, not bothering to hide anything. and there's no need to give details, cos' we'll all understand it. fifth year alr, our friendship still going strong! :) the good old days, where we used to have so many heart to heart talks, and all the crap and romance and everything under the sun. aw, memories.

sat, had yunnan meeting again. reach school at about 710am, and no one, not even one person was in the canteen. and everything was dark, and outside it was so rainy and cold. went to get myself a drink, and a cat was hiding behind the vending machine. freaked me out, and it doesn't help that i'm alone. haha, coward coward. anw, we met up with the secondary school students again. the same old thing, cheers and mass dance teaching.. missed training again, omg, can't wait to kick! headed home after that, i thought i had to go to the hospital with my mum to visit my grandpa. but in the end i was not needed. couldn't rmb what i did after that. haha!

sun, went to the hospital with my mum to take care of my grand, stayed there for almost half a day. all my grand did was sleep, and fighting against my mum to try to get out of mum. and all i did was to eat, read, and block the nurses' path. HAHA. guess i wouldn't like lying in the bed for days too, but, there's no choice. after that, i think i slacked around at home, or something else. my memory's isn't working too well.

mon, OP DAY. i went to school, all ready to present, but it turned out that something cropped out, so our group will be presenting on friday. just as well, i found out that i wasn't that prepared after all. but our group still had to stay as audience, and after that i sneaked into the next room to watch mabel's group present. after all the OPs, they all went to take their results, all except for me. :( yeah, anw, not all results are that great, but i believe things will turn out fine eventually. had lunch tgt with merry gang and ken ws at the coffeeshop near jam's house. because according to mabel, the chicken culet there is the best. we watched taking lives at jam's house after that, which was another nice show according to mabel once again. it's all about her recommedations all day. haha. but anw, it turned out to be quite a nice show. :) only that it got a little boring and slow, and half of our fell asleep. HAHA!



tue, went to grand's house in the morning, since he was discharged alr. in the aftnoon, i went down town to meet the girls, shopped around for a little while before heading back to grand's place again. it's rather frustrating to shop without enough cash. WORK WORK WORK.

wed, my whole day was spent at my grand's house too, again. one full day. utterly boring, and as a result i finshed the whole of my BREAKING DAWN and there's still plenty time to spare. till 9 in the night.

today, went sch for OP rehearsal. wasn't that bad afterall, haha! went bukit merah, and stayed there for like three hours to get quite a few things done. got a vaccination jab, which was quite terrifying. got a haircut, which is not that great, pissed omg! went to the lib to get my i&r settled. got my dinner, ham for my mum. and now, i'll be off to memorise my script for tml OP, and be metally prepared for my results. omg omg omg.
